CALL FOR PROPOSALS
61st ANNUAL MEETING of the
POLISH INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES OF AMERICA (PIASA)
A Multi-disciplinary Conference on Polish, Polish-American, and Polish-Canadian Studies to be held at
Montreal, QC, Canada
FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 2003 - SATURDAY, JUNE 7, 2003
The 61st Annual Meeting will be hosted and co-sponsored by the Polish Institute of Arts & Sciences in Canada (PIASC) based in Montreal. The theme of the conference is "Democracy, Social Cohesion and Ethnic Pluralism". Several special panels devoted to this issue will be featured during the 2003 meeting. Preference will be given to proposals for full two hour sessions involving presentation of three papers with a chair and discussant. Proposals for individual papers will also be considered. Proposals for roundtable discussions/panels should be submitted only on topics that lend themselves to that format. PIASA members in the natural and medical sciences are encouraged to send proposals. A short abstract should accompany each proposal.
PIASA will conduct initial screening of all proposals as soon as they are received and then will forward them to appropriate members of the program committee.
